Sweater Knitting!

Having had plans to cast on my Sister’s Miss Bracken for the knit-along last week, I got a bit distracted*, but today I found an hour to sit down and do just that! Such a fast knit, I’m already done with neck shaping and a good few rows through some raglan increases! I have such a soft spot for Quarry, it’s soft and smooth, and all those flecks of colour!

Wednesday is our first KAL Prize day! I will be choosing (with the help of my Sister) our favourite in-progress shot on Ravelry! So make sure you have your project up and mention in the notes that you are knitting it as part of the KAL. You can use #brackensweaterKAL tag in your project page too. The first prize are these amazing wooden accessories from Sincere Sheep! There is a wood stitch gauge ruler, a cute needle gauge, and a magnetic needle keep! Can’t wait to see your entires – we will be looking at photos around midday (PST) Wednesday!

*The distraction is a pink sweater – yes, Pink. I found this beautiful cotton/wool yarn from Cestari at my LYS only a week ago, and couldn’t put down. It’s true what they say, the best time to read a book is when you first purchase it – same goes for yarn. Pink is NOT my colour, yet this one I’m just going for. Check out my progress (and angst) on instagram 🙂

Oh and that big pile of Quince yarn on my kitchen table? Something really fun for Summer!!
