Viriditas, named after the farm where its journey began, is a little celebration of the wonderful place we find ourselves in the fiber world. We are so fortunate to have incredible people like the passionate folks at A Verb for Keeping Warm, Oakland CA, dedicated to connecting pastures to pullovers, the sheep to the shawls. Pioneer, the yarn used for this reversible crescent shaped shawl, is a CA grown organic Merino, and close to my heart.

2 skeins MC, 1 skein CC, A Verb for Keeping Warm Pioneer; 100% Organic Merino; 160 yds/146 m per 50g, shown in exclusive three skein kit “Heartwood”.
or 320 yds/440 m MC, and 100 yds/92 m CC, in light worsted weight yarn.

US 8/5 mm circular needle.
US 6/4 mm circular needle.
or size needed to obtain gauge.
Removable stitch markers, tapestry needle.

16.5 stitches x 34 rows = 4”/10cm in Garter Stitch on larger needles pre blocking
13 stitches x 30 rows = 4”/10cm in Garter Stitch on larger needles after blocking

64“/163 cm wide, 16“/41 cm deep.

Note: because of yardage issues I have revised the pattern to now include a pre-blocked gauge, and adjusted the suggested needle sizes to one size smaller.
