Full of cables and a simple lace pattern, this hat is knitted flat, back and forth from the rim to the crown, then seamed and gathered to create a hat. Or, undo the gathering at the crown, flip it around so the ribbing can tuck under your chin, and you have a tight fitting cowl.
Sizes : One size.
Measurements : Width from rim to crown is 8.5”. You can alter the size of the hat by increasing or decreasing the number of rows you knit.
Yarn : 1 skein ‘Fleece’ Spun by Annie Claire [100% Romney wool, 4oz, 200yds].
Needle : US 10.5 [6.5mm], or needle to obtain gauge.
Gauge : 15 sts and 20 rows = 4 inches in st st.
Notions : Tapestry needle, cable needle.
