Bracken Knitalong!

March 1st! Time for a new project don’t ya think?

I’ve decided to host a Bracken KAL! Over the next eight weeks let’s knit some Bracken sweaters together!
You can choose the original child’s Bracken, or the adult version, Miss Bracken.

The ravelry chatter will happen in the Bracken KAL thread in my ravelry group – and I’ll also be talking and sharing on instagram! Use #brackensweaterKAL to make sure I can keep up with your progress (as well as the usual tags #brackensweater, #missbrackensweater, #byannieclaire!)

Both sweaters are knit with bulky weight yarn and are two of the speediest sweaters. I took the opportunity of being at Stitches West and grabbed up some goodies for you all to win along the way as we knit! I got a bit carried away and have chosen four times to win! I’ve tried to keep it fair and spread the prizes over instagram and ravelry as we all have preferences as to where we like to share our projects! If you want to be in the running for a prize on instagram make sure to use the tag #brackensweaterKAL, and on ravelry make sure that you project page is linked to your chosen Bracken pattern page! I will be checking both Miss Bracken projects and Bracken projects. For extra safety, you could enter the #brackensweaterKAL tag in your project page too! There are prizes for the best in progress photos, the best FO photos…. and of course, those of you over achievers who might whip up a Bracken for yourself as well as your mini-me, the best matching Bracken photo!!!
So, the key details

Later this week I will be casting on yet another Miss Bracken in the Citrine colour way – for my sister (good job I LOVE this colour!)! Although both patterns call for Brooklyn Tweed’s beautiful Quarry yarn we will be chatting in the ravelry group about yarn substitutes! Hope to see you there!!!!
